X-Ray Glass Shipment and Delivery

X-Ray Glass is a very sensitive and fragile product and Ray-Bar understands the impact that receiving a broken shipment causes to the customer in both project schedule and as a double-loss expense.

Manufacturing this specialty product precisely to our customers’ request is only half our service; making every effort to ensure the product arrives to its destination in perfect condition is also paramount. Our customers can be confident that we take all reasonable protective measures and precautions.

Our main priority is that you receive our products in great condition. This is why our 70 years of experience in manufacturing, handling, packaging and shipping our products worldwide is so essential. Although we have no hands-on control of the product once it is loaded into the truck or container, we meticulously package your product in its custom protective crate for transit. We use only established carriers with modern GPS location logistics and/or computerized freight tracing and tracking capabilities.

Each piece of Ray-Bar X-Ray Glass is carefully inspected by our experienced QA department during fabrication and while hand setting the glass vertically into the custom built foam filled upright "A-frame" wood crates. All packaging shipments have proper handling and receiving instructions and proper warnings easily visible on the outside. All crates additionally have damage indicators securely fastened to the outside to visually assist our customers and end-users in determining if the product has been dropped, damaged, mishandled or adversely impacted during transit.

Our confidence in the safe delivery of our products is evident in our replacement claims policy. There is no additional product or freight cost to our customer as long as shipping is by our choice of transport carrier and receiving procedures were performed exactly per Ray-Bar detailed directions to preserve freight claim rights (such as customer carefully inspecting glass upon receipt in the presence of the delivery service and noting any issues clearly on the bill-of-lading receipt, keeping crate and product in original condition for claim adjusters inspection and same day written notification to Ray-Bar). The replacement glass must be the exact same size, type, quantity and characteristics of the original(s).

Ray-Bar's standard 1-year product warranty provisions are issued for every product order. This is yet another reason why our repeat customers truly value the entire Ray-Bar experience.

 

Lead Backed Drywall or Plywood Shipment and Delivery

Each sheet of Ray-Bar Lead Backed Gypsum Drywall or Lead Backed Plywood is carefully inspected by our experienced Quality Assurance department during fabrication and while hand loading each sheet on to our reinforced skid type wood pallets. Our wood pallets are built strong for the heavy product weights and in consideration of the typical handling environment of long distance transportation. All lead drywall shipments have an extra top and bottom sheet of regular drywall to additionally "sandwich" and protect the actual lead drywall sheets, and wooden sides are installed around the perimeter to protect the drywall from side impacts due to forklifts or the shifting of other freight.
The pallet assembly is then carefully bound with metal 3/4" steel banding all around the perimeter sides and also over the top and bottom securing the protective sides and products to each other and the pallet or crate.
All drywall shipments have the address,total pallet weight and proper warnings of "Keep out of Sun or Moisture" easily visible on the outside. All pallets and crates must always be carefully inspected in the presence of the delivery driver by the receiving personnel to determine if the product has been dropped, damaged, mishandled or adversely impacted during transit.

Overseas shipments are also carefully wrapped in water resistant plastic visqueen.
When customer requested our export shipment wooden pallets and crates are also specially heat treated and properly labeled and certified to meet the country of destination department of customs requirements.
Ray-Bar only utilizes established logistics transportation companies of good experience and reputations that have shipment tracking accountability.

Each shipment of Ray-Bar Lead Lined Doors or Barriers is carefully inspected by our experienced Quality Assurance department during fabrication and while hand loading each product on to our reinforced skid type wood pallets. All door or barrier shipments have top and bottom sheets of plywood or particle board with cardboard sheeting inside to additionally "sandwich" and protect the door or barrier, and wooden sides are installed around the perimeter to protect the products from side impacts due to forklifts or the shifting of other freight.
